Before an application usually there exists a Functional Analyst who carries out the information survey, and who understands the problem to be resolved, which has nothing to do with databases or programs. It is an information problem. If we follow the usual and real development process of an application this Functional Analyst should transmit the processed information to a Programmer so as to develop the application. FlexAB shortcut this step, since it is not necessary to program, the same Functional Analyst will be able to configure the system to enable the application to do what it needs to do.
FlexAB provides the developer (Functional Analyst or Programmer) with a fast work environment, with an object-oriented database, and with the freedom to link to the relational dababase engine he deems more robust, fast, proven, and with a good cost/service rendering relationship. On this environment the programmer has the entire tools to create and distribute high performance transactionals applications of the client server type in any company.
FlexAB is oriented and was thought for systems integrators (or Value Added Resellers:VARs, or Solutions Integrators:SI), so as to minimize the overall cost of application implementation, including cost, creation, operation, maintenance and future growth. Besides, due to its structure it enables the creation of isolated applications with a direct interrelation, which makes possible a flexibility as regards application scalability.
FlexAB was thought and developed as a product involving high rendering and a good cost/performance relationship, with a flexible structure which adjusts in price and rendering to small and big applications, both in size and requirement.
On the other hand, FlexAB is independent of the database engine to be used. This is a huge flexibility as regards training, license and knowledge additional cost. |
